TINA MULLONE-CARTER

Tina N. Mullone-Carter (Dallas, TX), began her dance training in ballet under Fernando Schaffenburg. She continued to study dance under Darryl Sneed while attending the University of Oklahoma. After graduation Tina performed and taught for JAADE Dance Theater, Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth and Beckles Dancing Company. She also taught for Fort Worth and Dallas School Districts, Creative Arts Theater and School, the School of Fort Worth/Dallas Ballet (now Texas Ballet Theater), Texas Christian University as part-time instructor; Freedom Theater and Max Myers Recreation Center, both in Philadelphia, PA and Temple University as a graduate assistant. Tina has also studied under numerous dance instructors and workshops including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Philadanco Dance School, and Urban Bush Women. After completing a Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Christian University, she taught at Tarrant County College South, Tarrant County College Southeast, Mountain View College, Brookhaven College, Creative Arts and Theater School, Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth and Lisbon Elementary School. She currently teaches at Tarrant County College Northeast, North Central Texas College in Corinth and Dancing Classrooms North Texas. She is also performing and choreographing with Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth, Beckles Dancing Company and Joanna Norris Dance Company (Detroit/Brooklyn). She strives to keep the arts alive through performing, choreographing and teaching.
